Hilton Worldwide is excited to offer outstanding learning opportunities to graduates seeking to enter the hospitality industry. In Europe, we run a number of formal entry programmes for Graduates depending on your area of interest and career aspirations.
At Hilton Worldwide, we define an internship as a period of work experience undertaken either as part of a four year undergraduate degree course (in which usually the third year is formed of a placement) or on completion of an undergraduate degree. Internships with us can last from six to 12 months and can be implemented in any department in a hotel or corporate function.
Every Intern Will:
- Be a part of the team and have access to learning and development opportunities including Hilton Worldwide University
- Have an accurate work plan and regular performance reviews/discussions, including a set of objectives
- Be given a departmental project to complete during their internship, as well as a buddy or mentor.
- Gain meaningful experience that enhances their employability, skills and study
Successful interns may be offered a full-time position with Hilton Worldwide upon graduation, if appropriate, or a place on one of our Graduate development programs.
Europe Elevator Graduate General Manager Fast-Track Program
This structured training program is designed to fast track you to run your own hotel within seven years. It is a rigorous and adventurous ground-up program that will rapidly elevate your skills in unique and memorable ways.
Graduates selected for the Program experience two global placements that allow for exposure to many different departments, people and cultural backgrounds. You can expect an exciting learning curve, with opportunities to network with hotel leaders during meetings, dinners and cocktail receptions. Many “Elevators” build new relationships that result in valuable lifetime friendships.
Each of your placements as an Elevator will require you to take on an actual business project with bottom-line impact. You will have the chance to express your creative ideas while being supported by senior managers as you conduct feasibility studies, document your findings, and present your project to the hotel management team. Most of all, you will be recognized and rewarded for all of your hard work.
Elevators receive support from assigned buddies and mentors, as well as from other colleagues and General Managers. While you may find yourself in an unfamiliar place, you will never feel truly alone during your time with Hilton Worldwide.
The Hilton Worldwide Elevator Graduate Program is widely regarded as one of the best hotel training courses in the industry. To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree, speak English plus one other European language fluently at the time of application, and already have the right to work in the EEA, Russia or Turkey.
You must also be willing to move to different cities and countries as part of this Program, as well as have a strong and serious interest in becoming a General Manager. It can be a fantastic experience for anyone who is ready to work hard and enjoy the adventure.

Management Development Program
Our Hilton Worldwide Graduate Management Development Program lasts between 14 and 24 months. You will operate at supervisor level in two properties in a variety of placements, with a strong focus towards a particular area, such as Food and Beverage or Front Office.
During this time you will take on managerial responsibilities, preparing you for your first position when you complete the program. You will have a role that gives you responsibility and accountability from the start, allowing you to grasp our process quickly and enabling you to make a real difference to the business. Your whole experience will be practical and highly interactive.
The blended learning approach allows you to benefit from experiential learning, with structured time for reflection on your own personal development. You will have the support of an operational coach, who has been where you are now. You will also be one of a small number of graduates, ensuring you are noticed and will form part of our Talent Management process.
The Management Development Program is a European-consistent program, managed on a local basis. We are looking for our future leaders, so you will have proven that you too want to be world class. We prefer that you have a Bachelor’s degree in a hospitality, leisure or tourism business discipline. However, we still invite candidates from other disciplines, who have a passion for guest satisfaction. Work experience in the industry will be helpful.
Most important, you should demonstrate our Hilton Worldwide competencies as a candidate who is driven and commercially focused, with key people skills. We will recruit on these competencies during our assessment center. Mobility is also an extremely significant factor, as you will be working in at least two properties, potentially anywhere in the country that is operating the program.
