Management Development Program

The Management Development Program (MDP) is a competitive full-time opportunity designed to attract top hospitality students from key colleges and universities. Hilton Worldwide is focused on hiring students and placing them into a successful management training program at the property-level that can lead to long-term managerial job placement. The purpose of MDP is two-fold:

  • Provide qualified hospitality graduates with hands-on, accelerated training in all areas of hotel management and proficiency-oriented training in a selected area of specialization.
  • Guarantee the future success of Hilton Worldwide by investing in the training and development of its potential future leaders.

MDP participants complete both a general rotation through all areas of hotel operations and a focused "discipline specialization" in his or her area of selected concentration. The entire Asia Pacific MDP takes approximately twelve to twenty-four months, with six to twelve months in general rotation and another six to twelve months in discipline specialization, which includes, but may not be limited to: Finance/Accounting, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Human Resources, Housekeeping, and Sales/Events. The intention of the MDP is to prepare new leaders for entry-level management placement within Hilton Worldwide in their areas of specialty upon completion of the training program.
